Breastfeeding Photography
Several years ago I noticed there was a gap in the market. Breastfeeding was becoming more and more normalised, and was no longer this taboo subject with women hiding away in private feeding their babies. With the launch of various breastfeeding events, women started to become more and more confident feeding at events and in public...
After much research I noticed that there was no other photographer in my local area photographing babies in this way. Not one single photographer was capturing this journey and documenting it as a memory for the
Mums, which seemed like a real shame. As any breastfeeding Mum knows, you just don't know how long the journey will last.
Having fed my first-born, (and in time my second born child), it was something that I was passionate about, which again tied in to my interest and passion for the documentary genre and documentary style photography.
I am very fortunate to have photographed many of the breastfeeding events in the North West, as well as to have been asked to shoot privately for many clients.
My images have featured in newspapers and magazines, including our local Liverpool Echo newspaper.
